An amateur Snowboarder is defined by their ability, not by their age. Having only two categories leaves the event open to all ages within that ability range. Younger athletes looking to challenge themselves or older athletes who are less experienced/ don’t have the physical ability to be competitive in a pro or open event will now have the opportunity to compete in a progressive environment.

Friday Night Light It Up! RAIL JAM

Friday Night Light It Up! Series is Blue Mountain’s own NEW grassroots Rail Jam series for both skiers and snowboarders! This Friday night series will take place January 30th, February 13th, and March 6th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm in the Badlands Terrain Park. Each division will compete in a 25 minute jam format and have their best trick scored on each of the three rails. Tons of prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place generously provided by Salomon, Spy, Bonfire, Eira, and Lifted as well as cash for Outlaw divisions.

Volcom Stone’s Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is Ontario largest rail jam and a staple event in the Ontario snowboard scene. Back at Blue Mountain for its 12th year, you can expect to see over 150 riders from across the province throw down some smooth peanut-buttery tricks on a signature PBRJ set up. This full day event is located in Badlands Terrain Park with registration at 8:00 am in the Ravenna Room. Must have a valid lift ticket or season pass.

Skiers and boarders will race down a banked slalom track on Happy Valley and end by skimming across a long pond at the bottom. Prizes will be awarded for the longest skim in each age division!
