Providing a fun and safe learning environment is a priority for the Resort’s Ski School and Kids at Blue teams. Blue Mountain offers a wide selection of lessons, clinics, weekly programs and elective/group activities for all ages and ability levels. With some of the top pros in the business, and a reputation as a leader in the industry, it’s no wonder that MSNBC rated Blue Mountain Canada’s number one family friendly ski resort in 2011!
If you’re new to the sports, it’s highly recommended that you take a lesson. Our “Newbie” program is the perfect option for first-timers. The “Newbie” program includes a beginner lift ticket, rentals and lesson package. The lesson includes instruction from one of our amazing pros and takes the skier or snowboarder through a five stage introductory circuit. The “Newbie” program starts at $59 per person and is the perfect way to get comfortable on the slopes and progress quickly.
Blue Mountain also offers 60 and 90 minute private lessons for all ability levels. Clinics and programs include racing, Park & Pipe, Adult Performance and a selection of 9 week programs for those looking to get out on the slopes on a weekly basis.
The heart of the Resort is our Kids at Blue program, which offers a selection of camps and lessons for kids ages 2-12. Daycare is also provided for children 16 months and older, who aren’t quite ready to hit the slopes.
Physical activity and outdoor recreation is at the core of all of the Resort’s programs. Blue Mountain has been proud to partner with schools from across Ontario to offer elective and group programs for approximately 40 years. Elective programs not only introduce kids to skiing and snowboarding, but the Resort has diversified their programs to include off-hill activities that are inclusive to all interests and ability levels, including skating, snowshoeing, winter survival and mini-winter Olympic programs.
