Opening day is now behind us and despite the inconsistent temperatures, our trail count is holding up and conditions remain great heading into the holiday season. If you’re like me, you still have some last minute shopping to do before the big day. Knock-off two birds with one stone, by complementing a day on the slopes with some après shopping in the Blue Mountain Village. Here is a list of some of this holiday season’s hottest items all available right here at Blue Mountain.
At Blue, this is the most exciting time of the year – we simply can’t wait to get out on the slopes. We know many of you share our passion, so our team of seasoned winter enthusiasts wanted to share our top 10 tips to prepare for winter:
Blue Mountain is pleased to announce the launch of its revamped Athlete Support Program and Pro Team. The new program places athletes in the limelight and provides them with an opportunity to be frontline advocates for their sports. In addition, athletes will receive some amazing perks and benefits from Blue Mountain Resort to take their skills and profile to the next level.
If you’ve driven by Blue Mountain this fall you might have noticed some big changes in our Badlands terrain park. Over the fall, the parks and operations team have been moving earth and working on upgrades in preparation for the 2012/13 winter season. As part of the project, the team has bulldozed the long-standing dirt form for the superpipe. But it’s not leaving for long!
Everyone has their own reasons for being a Season Passholder at Blue – terrain, value, conditions, social scene and Pass perks usually top the list. However, with last year’s strange weather, many skiers and boarders aren’t quite ready to trust Mother Nature. For what it’s worth, at Blue Mountain we think winter is returning this year. And the experts agree!
