Blue Mountain is Ontario's Winter Playground

Welcome to Ontario’s playground – where your time on the slopes is matched by your time off them. Whatever you’re looking for Blue Mountain has an option for you – it’s your getaway and it’s perfect!

Winter 2011/2012 Comes to a Close

Blue Mountain closed its slopes for the winter season on March 22, 2012. Despite some challenges from Mother Nature this winter, we had a great season at the Resort. Much of the credit goes to our industry leading snowmaking system and experienced Mountain Operations team for providing consistent conditions despite the up and down weather. We also want to thank EVERY SINGLE GUEST that visited Blue Mountain this winter for making it such a memorable season.

Some of key highlights from the past winter include thrills from the first year of the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster; seeing the Canadian Teams own the podium at the FIS World Cup Ski Cross and Ontario’s first ever FIS Snowboardcross World Cup events; watching all our guests enjoy great spring conditions during March Break; and taking in amazing après and Village events all season long. Keep the memories alive and share your favourite moment from the past year at Blue on Twitter @BlueMtnResort or facebook.com/BlueMountain.

We have an exciting green season ahead of us that will see Blue Mountain launch new attractions as part of our growing activity park. The Ridge Runner will remain open all year long and many of our summer activities will be up and running in April. We won’t be offering a Season Pass spring renewal this year, but stay tuned for exciting news on our Season Passes!

Thanks for a great winter everyone – we look forward to seeing you at Blue Mountain this summer and back on the slopes in 2012/2013.

A Blue Mountain Winter
Make it your dream vacation!

The best way to enjoy an Ontario winter is to get out and play! Whether you crave an adrenaline filled day on the slopes or a relaxing stroll through a welcoming Village, Blue Mountain is the place to be this winter. Blue has evolved into Ontario’s premiere four-season playground. This winter enjoy 36 trails, ranging from beginner to double black diamond, stretching across the scenic Niagara Escarpment, and reaching 720 vertical feet. You’ll maximize your on-snow time with 15 lifts, including four high-speed six-person chairs. And there’s plenty of action after the sun sets, with 22 trails and 10 lifts under the lights.

Need to brush up on your skills? More than 300 pros are ready to help you at Blue Mountain Snow School’s two learning centres. If it’s freestyle terrain you’re after, Blue Mountain’s three freestyle zones, including the Terrain Park, deliver the full range of features, from super-pipes to beginner rails. If you’re looking for winter adventure, it’s all here. Off the slopes, you’ll love the warmth of the Village at Blue Mountain, where friends and families gather for good times and build life-long memories. Here, you can kick back in our luxury accommodations, indulge in fine shopping and dining and enjoy a host of winter events and entertainment. It’s all waiting for you. A winter playground to explore and make your own.
