Explore the Top of Blue Mountain

This relatively flat trail takes hikers across the top of the Escarpment and is dotted with scenic views of Blue Mountain Village, surrounding area and Georgian Bay. Beginning at the Open-Air Gondola, Route 66 travels north towards some of Blue's most popular trail running spots.

*Walking time is based on 15 minutes for every kilometre of horizontal distance, plus 10 minutes for every 100 metres of ascent. Allow for additional time to account for the slowest hiker in your group.

Village Way
Usage: Hiking

Trail direction from Route 66: Village Way main trail is a top to bottom hike. From Route 66, hikers can choose Village Way to head back down the mountain and complete their hike at the top of Blue Mountain's Adventure Park.

Apple Bowl Lookout

Trail direction from Route 66: Apple Bowl lookout will take hikers down the mountain and over to the Blue Mountain Inn pod. A number of scenic lookouts can be experienced along the way.

Sticks and Stones

Difficulty: Intermediate
Trail direction from Route 66: Hikers can extend their hike along the top of the Escarpment by dropping into the Sticks and Stones loop from Route 66. This scenic loop explores the geological make-up of the mountain and its native trees.

Cagey

Difficulty: Intermediate
Trail direction from Route 66: Cagey begins at the northern most point of Route 66 and takes hikers and bikers near the edge of Blue's property line. Perfect for trail running or cross country biking, Cagey offers a challenging but satisfying forest experience.
