Canopy Climb Net Adventure

Students reach new heights and experiences in the ultimate tree fort. Participants scramble from tree to tree high above the forest floor using suspended rope nets and slides. Tree houses and a watch tower provide the perfect setting for a variety of activities.

Teacher/chaperone participation is required at a 1:5 ratio for ages 3-5, and at a 1:10 ratio for ages 6-12.

Duration: 1 hour

  • Guests 3 to 5 must be supervised by paying adult (max. 2 kids to 1 adult)
  • Guests 6 to 12 may access activity alone, but must be supervised by an adult at the ground level (max 5 kids to 1 adult)
  • Maximum weight is 113 kg (250 lbs)
  • Closed-toe and closed-back shoes are required - running shoes recommended

Cascade Putting Course
Division: Primary | Junior | Intermediate | Secondary
Students test their golfing skills at the Cascade Putting Course. The course offers bunkers and water hazards just like a full-size course, but on a smaller scale. Situated at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, this 18-hole, par-67 putting course is landscaped with a limestone backdrop, waterfalls and inspiring features that highlight the beauty of the natural surroundings and panoramic views. Cascade’s fairways, bunkers and water hazards give a great introduction to the game of golf, but on a smaller scale.

Duration: 1 hour
  • Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn. No bare feet allowed.
  • Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Only one non-playing member per group
  • No food, drinks or smoking permitted on the course
  • Please limit your strokes to six per hole
  • Participants must have sufficient physical dexterity and the ability to use the equipment properly

Chutes & Loops Ball Run

Students roll wooden balls down a 30-metre track built into the hillside of Blue Mountain. Interactive elements include peg mazes, tunnels, twists and turns as the ball makes its way through the track. No two runs are alike, providing endless options for experiential play-based learning.

Hike N' Tube

A gentle introduction to the Mountain Snow Tubing provides students with a genuine downhill experience without the speed and equipment associated with skiing and snowboarding. Tubing offers old-fashioned winter fun for all ages and gives all participants access to the Blue Mountain slopes. Helmets are mandatory and provided by Blue Mountain.

Open-Air Gondola

See all of Blue Mountain with 360-degree views of everything as you approach the top. The open-air gondola provides participants the perfect opportunity for pictures as it gently rises to the trails and scenic lookouts above. Cameras welcome. Students enjoy a scenic ride overlooking varied terrain including Georgian Bay, the Niagara Escarpment, and the heart of the Blue Mountain Village.

Duration: 45 minutes
  • Riders must be at least 122 cm (4 feet) to ride alone
  • Infants and small children may ride with a parent/guardian only if secured in a chest-type baby harness or in a stroller
  • It is recommended that pregnant women not ride the gondola
  • Pets are not permitted on the Gondola

Plunge! Aquatic Centre
Division: Primary | Junior | Intermediate | Secondary
Plunge! is the ultimate four-season water adventure featuring indoor-outdoor pools, indoor water playground, hot tubs, rope swings, docks and slides. Watch your students invent completely new water games with help from the rope swings, docks, and water slides. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools and an indoor water playground make Plunge popular in all seasons with swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Certified Life Guards ensure a safe and fun environment for all students.

All children will be required to complete a swim test prior to entering the water. Groups are encouraged to bring their own PFDs for any participants that will require them.

Duration: 2-3 hours

  • Children 6 years of age and younger must be accompanied in water by a paying adult at a maximum ratio of two children to one adult
  • Children age 7 to 9 must be supervised by an adult on deck at a maximum ratio of four children to one adult

Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster
Division: Intermediate | Secondary (Ages 13+)
Glide along 1 km of track on the popular Ridge Runner. Leisurely tour the terrain — or take a thrill-ride at speeds up to 42 km/h - students decide whether to coast or accelerate! The Ridge Runner is a simple and equipment free favourite among students. We’ll keep you on track but as with most things at Blue Mountain you are the driver.

Duration: 1 hour
  • Drivers must be 16 years of age, passengers must be at least 3 years of age, a minimum of 102 cm (40 in) tall, and no taller than the driver's shoulders. Guests age 13 years and older may ride alone.
  • Minimum height to ride alone is 137 cm (54 in) tall
  • Maximum weight capacity is 150 kg (330 lbs)
  • Suitable clothing and footwear must be worn. No bare feet allowed.
  • Loose articles/clothing/hair are not permitted on the ride
  • Observe posted signs and follow instructions from staff.
  • You must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload the coaster
  • It is recommended that pregnant women not ride the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster

Skiing and Snowboarding

Blue Mountain is a leading destination to bring your school or class for an amazing day on the slopes. We adhere to OSRA recommendations and offer the opportunity for students to learn to ski and snowboard, or to improve on their skills at Ontario’s largest ski resort. Blue Mountain offers dedicated school group event managers, ambassadors and certified ski and snowboard instructors. Rentals are pre-set for a smooth arrival.

Duration: Full day or half day
  • Always wear a helmet!
  • Review a trail map and ski each run according to your level
  • Respect the different levels and abilities of others on the slopes
  • Take a lesson
  • Be aware of other skiers and snowboarders and keep a safe distance between you and others
  • Stay focused and always concentrate on your next move

Timber Challenge High Ropes
Division: Intermediate | Secondary (Ages 12+)
Take adventure to the next level as you traverse 75 elements, at heights up to 15 metres. Climb ladders, cross bridges, and cruise zip lines. Increase your comfort zone and find creative ways to navigate the exciting elements in store for you on this challenging Ontario ropes course. Individuals and teams will test their inner and outer strength as they overcome new challenges on their own and with a little help from friends.

Duration: 2-3 hours
  • Participants must be 13 years of age or older and able to reach 1.8 m (6 ft) with their feet flat on the ground to access all courses
  • With their feet flat on the ground, participants aged 10-12 must be able to reach 1.5 m (5 ft) to access the green courses, and must be able to reach 1.8m (6 ft) to access the blue courses
  • Participants aged 10-12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older (2:1 ratio), and are not allowed to access the black courses
  • A course of each difficulty level must be completed before progressing to the next level.
  • Maximum participant weight is 113 kg (250 lbs)
  • Harness and helmet are provided
  • Closed-toe and closed-back shoes are required - running shoes are recommended
  • Participants must have sufficient physical dexterity and the ability to use the equipment properly

Sharpen your skates and cruise on our 1.1km mountain-top ice skating loop while enjoying extraordinary views along the Niagara Escarpment. Skate aids available for beginner abilities. Helmets are mandatory, but supply is limited so students are encouraged to bring their own if possible.
