Fall into All Day Adventure

It’s time to wind down after a busy summer, but that doesn’t mean the fun needs to stop. Fun in the sun can still be found at Blue Mountain even after Labour Day weekend. Fall brings with it an entirely new opportunity for spending your days outdoors. Temperatures and leaves start to fall, the days get shorter and so do the line-ups and crowds. It’s the ideal time to squeeze in some extra family time for a getaway!

Firstly, location is often key when choosing a hotel while traveling with kids. Mosaic Suites or the Westin Trillium House are located close to the shops and restaurants in Blue Mountain Village and each have heated outdoor swimming pools that are open year-round. If extra space is important, a Resort Home is a great vacation option! Blue Mountain offers a total of 12 different hotel and Resort Home options so you’re sure to find something that suits your family.

Play All Day

The Fantastic Fall Family Vacation

Day ONE

Check-in time. After receiving your Play All Day tickets you find out that you’re just in time for some incredible live music in the Blue Mountain Village. You have just enough time to get up to your room, organize your things while the kids check the place out. Oh, and parents……kids jumping on the bed is perfectly acceptable at Blue!

After dancing the car ride out with the band, the kids are anxious to jump in a pool. What kid doesn’t want to go swimming?! Head straight to Plunge! Aquatic Centre. While the kids are cooling off, you can check out the Blue Mountain Resort App for the best place for dinner.

First night calls for something simple and delicious. Cheezed has just what you need to satisfy your comfort craving, with an entire menu of grilled cheese sandwiches. Pop by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory or Happy Valley Candy Co. for a sweet treat for back at the room. Tired kiddo’s means quiet time for the parents. Snuggle up for wine and a movie, then off to dream about tomorrow’s Adventure Park activities!

Day TWO

It’s time to put those Play All Day tickets into action. But first – breakfast at Sunset Grill followed by kids’ choice of activity. Canopy Climb Net Adventure is first on the agenda, and if you think you’re too old to get excited about jumping on a trampoline, think again! This attraction includes giant jumping nets, tunnels, treehouses, and bridges that will test your ability to keep up with the kids. Trust us, canopy climb brings smiles to every face, young and old (ish).

You’ve worked up quite an appetite, so it’s off to the new Grand Central Lodge Patio for a BBQ lunch followed by ice-cream before you slow things down a bit with a family challenge at Cascade Putting Course.

No trip would be complete without finding the perfect souvenir to bring home with you. Take time to stroll through the unique Village shops and pop into Blue Mountain Supply Co. for some cool logo wear to remind you of your time at Blue!

For dinner, choose from a selection of family-friendly restaurants right in the Blue Mountain Village including Firehall Pizza which has patio seating with views of either the Village or the beautiful Mill Pond.

After dinner, grab a sweater and head to the Open-Air Gondola for an evening ride up the escarpment before you experience the must see attraction of the fall AGORA: Path of Light, our illuminated and interactive light trail. Take in the scenic views as the sun starts to set and prepare for a memorable mountain experience.

DAY THREE

Enjoy a slow and easy start to the day with a walk around the Millpond boardwalk for a family breakfast at Oliver Bonacini Café Grill. Dad wants to get some trail running in at the Explore Park while mom gets some bike rentals and takes the kids for a ride around the resort.

The kiddo’s take a quick dip in the hotel pool before getting ready to meet up with dad at Summitview Pavilion for lunch. Dad spotted the Timeline History Trail during his run, and you make plans to check it out after lunch. The kids get to learn about the history of Blue Mountain through a children’s story about Jozo Weider, the amazing man who made his dream come true.

Returning down to the Village you grab great seats for a magic show on the village stage. Now it’s mom’s time to sneak away for some Gan Ban Yoga at Iwa Spa, while dad takes the kids for water trike rides at the Millpond Activity Centre.

Dinner on the last night will be at Copper Blues Bar & Grill. Their incredible patio is perfect for people watching and taking in the entertainment happening on the Subaru Stage. The kids have been anxiously awaiting their chance to race down the mountain on the Runner Mountain Coaster and they’ve saved it for their last activity of the day.

DAY FOUR

Last day on resort! Dad couldn’t resist catching an early round of golf at Monterra while mom sleeps in with the kids. He makes it back to the room just in time to grab breakfast before you pack your luggage and head downstairs for a final stroll through the village.
